Vibration
- Minimum Frequency . . . 1Hz
- Maximum Frequency . . . 50Hz
- Maximum Operator Weight . . . 500lb
- Maximum Amplitude of Vibration . . . 1”
- Drive System . . . Servo Controlled, Direct Drive Magnetic Actuator
- Maximum Thrust . . . 1g (standard gravitational acceleration)
- Thrust Working Range . . . 1g from 4.5 Hz to 40 Hz with operator weight up to 350lb. Thrust falls below 1g for heavier operator, or for frequency below 4.5Hz.
Vibration Modes:
- Pure sine wave excitation with independently variable frequency and amplitude.
- Constant force (cyclical quadratic) excitation with independently variable frequency and amplitude.
- Mixed frequency excitation using high and low frequencies simultaneously.
Control System
- Intuitive user interface using Color LCD.
- 32-bit industrial microprocessor with real time operating system.
- Software upgradeable via Internet.
- Master / Slave interface allows machines to operate in pairs for greater load capacity and/or teeter-totter operation. (Optional item)
- Network aware – used primarily for special purpose applications such as health clubs. (Optional item)
- Fan-On-Demand control ensures that cooling fans only run as needed, resulting in much quieter operation and silent standby.
- Smooth Transitions - The Evolution starts up gradually, gently increasing amplitude to the operating level. During operation, transitions smoothly from one level to another. At the end of the session, the Evolution comes to a gradual stop.
System Intelligence
The WBV machine has a simple and intuitive user interface with the following features:
- Biometric Operator Identification - The WBV machine identifies the operator based on their weight and date of last use.
- Recent Workout Select - The WBV machine recalls the most recent workout sessions for the current operator and offers these as options for the current workout.
- Autostart - The WBV machine can be configured to start a workout program after a short countdown without any operator intervention, other than stepping on the machine.
- Intelligent Pause - If the operator steps off the WBV machine during a session, it will automatically pause the session and automatically resume the session when the operator steps back on the machine.
- Quick Tweak - Allows the operator to easily adjust session time and amplitude for the active workout session.
- Session History - The WBV machine retains a record of session for each operator, as well as the operator’s weight.
- Sophisticated internal monitoring ensure safe and reliable operation. The following parameters are continuously measured and checked:
- Internal air temperature of the unit, temperature of the main power supply, temperature of the motor. Out of limit conditions will bring cooling systems online, and / or cause the machine to temporarily stop until the condition is cleared.
- Orientation: the unit will only operate if it is standing vertically, as designed.
- Internal vibration: The WBV machine monitors internal vibration and uses signature analysis to detect anomalies.
Mechanical Construction
- The WBV machine is constructed using a combination of steel, structural aluminum and high impact plastics in order to realize manageable portability, low residual vibration and minimal metal fatigue.
- The WBV machine uses space-age plastics and ceramics for bearing surfaces to ensure minimal service intervals for professional use, and none for home use).

Whole Body Vibration (WBV) uses a range of low and high frequencies already proven to create positive results. The WBV machine delivers low impact vertical vibrations through a flat platform, gently into your body. It provides users a maximum 1G of resistance. This amount of resistance is considered low-magnitude, safe and beneficial in an exercise and therapeutic environment.
It is important to realize that whole body vibration is not the machine. Whole body vibration is a technology that, when applied in a controlled product, can have a beneficial impact on our bodies.
Whole body vibration is the influence of speed/frequency/Hertz delivered into muscles, causing them to involuntarily contract and expand. This rapid cellular movement increases the resistance against the next and then the next, contraction and expansion. This increase in resistance is measured in magnitude/amplitude/force of gravity.
For example, when the machine is set at 8 Hertz, your muscles are contracting and expanding 8 times a second, pushing against up to 1G of gravity. This could be thought of as taking steps 3 at a time or lifting 1/3 of your body weight... 3 times a second. This is enough resistance to build and tone muscle and to increase bone density and protect bone health.
Amazingly, whole body vibration exercise simultaneously increases muscle flexibility, is low-impact on joints and it feels good.
